12 March 2023, Sunday Ceramic Session
Come join me for a 2.5 hour handbuilding ceramics session in my studio in Amsterdam East, where you'll have the chance to get inspired, meet new people, and learn how to create something truly unique.
During this workshop, I'll introduce you to three basic handbuilding techniques: slab building, pinching, and coiling. These techniques will give you the skills and confidence you need to start your own ceramic journey and create a beautiful piece of your own.
The workshop will be held on Sunday, March 12th, from 2:00 - 4:30 PM
at Eerste Atjehstraat 52A.
The group will be small (8 people max), so you'll have plenty of opportunities for one-on-one guidance as you work on your ceramic piece. No prior experience is necessary. This workshop is all about taking things slowly and connecting with your creative self. If you do have handbuilding experience, you're welcome to join us as well.
Here are a few other things to keep in mind
- Free parking is available on the street on Sundays.
- All tools and materials, as well as beverages and snacks, are included. You'll receive half a kilo of clay to work with, which you can use to create one large piece, two medium-sized pieces, or three smaller pieces.
- After the workshop, your creation will be fired in the kiln and glazed in a glossy white half dipped style. You can pick up your finished piece at the studio 4 weeks after the workshop, or have it shipped to you (for an additional fee of €7.50 in the Netherlands or €16 in the EU).
- If you'd prefer to pay with IDEAL, just send me a message and I'll send you a link.
*Please note that this workshop does not include instruction in wheel throwing ceramics. If you're interested in learning how to throw on the wheel, you can sign up for one of our private wheel throwing workshops. More information is available on the workshop page.
**If there aren't enough people booked for this workshop, I reserve the right to postpone the session to the following month.
